Local authorities are increasingly expected to base their decisions on measurable data and to provide evidence of quality improvement (the DCSF Quality Improvement Programme suggests that data should be used ‘to direct resources and support’).
If managed effectively, data gathered using the Environment Rating Scales can be used at both setting and authority level to support quality improvement. A+ Education has developed a comprehensive support tool which allows easy management of Environment Rating Scales data.
